Veteran Bautista will serve as a power-hitting bat off the bench for the Phillies down the stretch. He can play either corner outfield and infield positions, so he should also serve a backup role during his stint in Philadelphia.

The Mets decided to part ways with Bautista, who was only brought on board earlier this season because of a series of injuries in Queens. Moving him now may give younger players more at-bats for the rest of 2018.

Bautista was playing a lot more in New York than what should be the case in Philadelphia, so whatever fantasy value he owned is now pretty much gone.
