Had plenty of strikeout acumen, as well as the ability to pitch late in ball games. Could be virtually unhittable when he was on top of his game. Did not have an ideal body (5'10", 200 pounds) for a pitcher in the big leagues, and there were weight concerns with him as well as stamina and injury issues.
