Is pretty big for a catcher, with a little bit of pop in his bat and the ability to draw walks. Also, he calls a pretty good game from behind the plate. Does not have a ton of power, especially at the big-league level. Also, he tends to be inconsistent as a hitter, which limits him to backup status.
