Owns a very potent bat, both in terms of average and power. He also usually sports a good walk/strikeout ratio, which also helps him offensively. Defensively, he can catch, play first base and the outfield. Needs some work defensively, especially if he is to remain a catcher at the big-league level. Also lacks running speed, which may hurt him if playing the outfield on a regular basis. Is mostly a DH in MLB.
