Mets manager Carlos Mendoza confirmed that Blackburn (hand) will be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Monday in Toronto, Tyler Antonelle of MetsmerizedOnline.com reports.

A CT scan on Blackburn's right hand came back negative Saturday, and he hopes to avoid the injured list and possible make his next start,Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Blackburn pitched six innings of one-run ball in Sunday's loss to the Marlins, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out four. He did not factor into the decision.

Blackburn (53) took the loss Tuesday, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on six hits and two walks over four innings as the Mets fell 9-4 to the A's. He struck out four.

Blackburn has thrown his cutter and changeup more, at the expense of his four-seam fastball and curveball, since joining the Mets, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

Blackburn did not factor into the decision in a win over the Rockies on Wednesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks over six innings while striking out six.

Blackburn will make his Mets debut Friday against the Angels, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
