Has excellent qualities as a hitter and can spray the ball all over the field. His compact swing helps him keep his strikeouts down and he also draws a fair amount of walks. Is a solid defender at first base, too. Has been dealing with back issues for some time, which might be a problem throughout his career. Also, he could stand to pull the ball more in order to generate more home-run power. Lacks some athleticism.
Long Range Potential: Pure left-handed hitter with upside, when healthy.
