Was quite tall and lanky (6-9, 225 pounds), so he could generate a lot of deception in his delivery. Changed speeds well with his quality arsenal and owned an especially effective slider. Had trouble repeating his delivery, so he lacked pitch-to-pitch consistency. Also lacked command of his arsenal, which limited his ability to be a starting pitcher in the big leagues.
