The son of the former big-league outfielder of the same name, Smith has a similar skill set than his father: solid left-handed stroke, good speed and solid home-run power. Is a streaky hitter who can get red-hot. Is not an elite hitter, nor is he a Gold Glove-caliber defender in the outfield. Is somewhat limited in terms of his overall ability. Must also prove capable of hitting regularly against top MLB left-handed pitching.
Long Range Potential: Decent outfielder with a little upside.
