Cecchini was outrighted to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Friday.

Cecchini has had a slow month offensively at Pawtucket, as he's batting .217/.299/.367 with four extra-base hits and a 17-5 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 18 games. That said, he's now hit safely in four straight games, going 5-for-17 (.294) with two extra-base hits, four runs and six RBI during that span. He's appeared in one game for the Red Sox this season and is likely to return to the majors later in the year.
