Owns a lot of raw power in his stroke, plus excellent defensive instincts and skills behind the plate (including a very good throwing arm). Calls a pretty good game, too. Is not athletic at all and has battled weight issues in the past. Also, his swing is a tad long and stiff, and he could stand to draw a few more walks to improve his average.
Long Range Potential: Decent catcher.
