Zeke Spruill struggled in a losing effort against the Mets in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader, allowing three runs on 10 hits over 5 1/3 innings. Friday's rainout pressed Spruill into emergency duty, and at least did his job by keeping the Diamondbacks in the game. He's likely to return to Triple-A Reno afterwards where he will continue to function as organizational rotation depth.

The 24-year-old owns a 2-1 record, 4.72 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 27/9 K/BB ratio over 34 1/3 innings at Triple-A Reno. He can safely be ignored for fantasy purposes.
