The exact drug he was taking is unknown. Aceves has been at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre since being designated for assignment by the Yankees on June 4. He had a rough 6.52 ERA in 19 1/3 innings this year for New York and probably won't return to the majors this year.

Alfredo Aceves works in relief
Rotoworld.com
News
Alfredo Aceves was used in relief Monday and gave up two runs in two-thirds of an inning against the Mets.
Forecaster Impact
Manager Joe Girardi said yesterday that Aceves would likely start Wednesday, but he backed off that before today's game saying he was still available in the pen. And, clearly, Girardi made no effort to avoid using him in relief, considering that he was the first guy in today after Hiroki Kuroda's six innings. It looks like the Yankees will call up someone to start Wednesday.

Alfredo Aceves to move into Yankees' rotation
Daniel Barbarisi on Twitter
News
Yankees manager Joe Girardi on Sunday listed Alfredo Aceves as the most likely candidate to take CC Sabathia's (knee) spot in the rotation.
Forecaster Impact
Aceves has pitched well in relief since being promoted, allowing just one run over 7 1/3 innings. While his versatility is valuable, he's unlikely to be worthy of a roster spot in fantasy leagues.
