Chambers will receive a 50-game suspension after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs, Jenifer Lagosch of MLB.com reports.

Blue Jays acquired OF Adron Chambers from the Astros for LHP Alejandro Solarte and INF Will Dupont. Chambers was batting .281/.356/.416 with two home runs and 15 RBI through 102 plate appearances this season for the Astros' Triple-A affiliate in Oklahoma City. Known primarily for his speed, the 27-year-old had been caught on three of four stolen base attempts. He's doubtful to make any sort of positive impact in Toronto.

He declared for free agency and will look for a minor league deal elsewhere.

Adron Chambers will not be on the Cardinals' roster for the World Series. Allen Craig will take his place on the roster. Chambers went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts during the NLDS and NLCS.
