Was a massive first baseman with very good power and the ability to produce a lot of runs. Also displayed pretty good patience at the dish, which helped him succeed at lower levels. Did not run well. Also, struggled to hit left-handed pitching with regularity at the big-league level. Therefore, he was mainly a platoon player at the highest level.
