Supremely athletic and quick behind the plate, he blocks pitches with aplomb and owns a cannon for an arm. Also calls a pretty good game and owns solid overall receiving skills. His golden arm led to a brief stint on the mound. Does not hit enough to be an everyday player in MLB, since he does not always have a good approach at the dish. Chases a lot of pitches and does not walk enough. Aside from moonlighting as a pitcher, he can also play first base and a corner outfield position.
