Was a fairly consistent strike thrower. Was especially effective against left-handed batters. Pitched with a bulldog mentality at all times. Could either start or relieve at lower levels. Lacked ideal size for a big-league pitcher (5'11", 215 pounds), so stamina was also an issue. Had trouble harnessing his secondary pitches in MLB.
Long Range Potential: Decent left-hander.
