A solid left-handed batter, he has pretty good pop in his bat and also the ability to draw walks (especially in the minors). Is also quite versatile in the field. Lacks consistency at the dish, in particular as a big leaguer. Is not great at game-calling and receiving, which limits his ability to be used behind the plate.
