An innings-eating right-hander, he had a darting low-90's fastball that he combined with a good changeup, a big curve and a hard slider. He also got rid of the ball quickly, which kept base runners close. Was a notoriously slow starter. Left the ball hanging in hittable areas too often and, though not entirely a bad thing, had a tendency to focus so much on his pitching that he could forget about fielding his position. | |
