Had a sweet swing from the left side and made consistent contact. Knew how to work the count for his pitch and would take a free pass if he did not get it. Possessed a great glove and sound base-running acumen. Did not hit for enough power (especially for a big first baseman), which hindered his overall value as an everyday player. Also did not generate much extra-base power against left-handed pitchers. | |
Long Range Potential: | Solid first baseman. |
