Was aggressive and very hard to knock out of games. Used both a two-seam and a four-seam fastball quite effectively, but his splitter was his most potent weapon. Over time he lost considerable velocity and was forced to rely more and more on his splitter, so hitters were ready for it. Was the epitome of a workhorse starting pitcher. | |
