Scouting Report
A line-drive hitter with very good power, he had above-average speed as well. Could get red-hot with the bat for stretches. Was also a solid defensive outfielder. His strikeout totals could be way too high, since his swing was quite long. Also had some trouble hitting with consistency, especially against southpaws. His throwing arm was not great, though accurate. Played all three outfield positions. Was a consummate professional and a good leader for younger players. Could come off the bench later in his MLB career and deliver key hits.
Long Range Potential: Solid outfielder.
