A consistent and clutch RBI guy, he rose to the occasion with men on base. Displayed great plate coverage and did not strike out that much for an everyday player. Always lacked patience at the plate and did not draw many walks. Was mediocre with the glove. Age and injuries caught up with him at the end of his MLB career.
