Baldwin (wrist) could resume on-field hitting this week but is unsure he'll make it back before the end of the season, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

The White Sox placed Baldwin on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a right wrist sprain, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.

"Probably take it slow," interim manager Grady Sizemore said, with regard to Baldwin's recovery from the injury. "We are going to see how batting practice goes, and I think he's going to have probably just down at least [Sunday and Monday] and see how he's doing Tuesday."
