Lawlar (hamstring) was activated from the minor-league inured list Sept. 8, MLB.com reports.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Monday that he's hopeful Lawlar (hamstring) can return from the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Reno "soon," Jesse Borek of MLB.com reports.

Lawlar (hamstring) started at third base and went 0-for-3 in the Arizona Complex League on Saturday.

Arizona sent Lawlar (hamstring) on a rehab assignment to the Arizona Complex League Diamondbacks on Saturday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Lawlar is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks after being diagnosed with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Lawlar will stay at Triple-A Reno for now, Kevin Zimmerman of Arizona Sports reports.

Lawlar went 3-for-6 with a double, a home run, three RBI and two runs scored for Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

Triple-A Reno will reinstate Lawlar (thumb) from its 60-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against Sacramento, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

Lawlar (thumb) is expected to join the Triple-A Reno roster soon, Jesse Borek of MLB.com reports.
