Threw hard, worked well with runners in scoring position and gave left-handed hitters nightmares. Could strike batters out with consistency. Kept the ball down with a good sinker and added a big, slow curve. Ran into trouble when he started walking too many batters in Major League Baseball, since he was then forced to give in to hitters too often. Failed as a starter at the highest level because of a lack of consistency.
Long Range Potential: Quality left-handed reliever.
