Scouting Report
Had outstanding leadership and pedigree, which gave him an edge both behind the plate and when hitting. Had decent power and a very strong throwing arm. Was a very good receiver, overall. Was also a notoriously impatient hitter. Was more of a gap-to-gap hitter who struggled when he went pull-crazy. Knee problems hampered his ability to quickly get throws away to second base.
Long Range Potential: Excellent catcher and born leader.
