A solid player both at the plate and in the field, he hit to the opposite field well and could either turn on a pitch and drive it or simply make contact for a single. He possessed a very quick bat, good range, soft hands and great instincts. Had a knack for hitting too many lazy fly balls. He did not have great speed, but that was never really a part of his game. His conditioning could be an issue at times, and he had trouble avoiding injuries at various points of his MLB career. | |
Long Range Potential: | Solid, versatile contact-hitting infielder. |
