The Brewers released Alvarez on Thursday.

Alvarez signed a minor-league with the Brewers on Saturday which includes an invitation to spring training, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The Dodgers released Alvarez (undisclosed) on Monday.

The Dodgers designated Alvarez for assignment Tuesday.

Alvarez was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.
