Reynolds said Tuesday that he's focusing on being a right fielder rather than potentially seeing some time at first base, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Pirates general manager Ben Cherington said Tuesday that Reynolds will remain focused on playing the outfield even after the injury to first baseman Spencer Horwitz (wrist), Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

The Pirates plan to play Reynolds at first base at least on a part-time basis in 2025, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Reynolds went 2-for-3 with two home runs, three RBI and a walk in Friday's win over the Yankees.

Reynolds is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Reynolds went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI on Friday against the Royals.

Reynolds went 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base Thursday against the Nationals.

Reynolds went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's loss to the Cubs, finishing with three runs scored and two RBI.

Reynolds (back) is serving as the designated hitter and batting second in Sunday's game against Seattle, Danny Demilio of PittsburghBaseballNow.com reports.

Reynolds is absent from Saturday's lineup against Seattle.
