A big catcher, he can generate a lot of home-run power and also hit for average. He is a solid run producer, overall. Partly because of his above-average size for a backstop, he struggles defensively (he lacks quickness and has trouble as a receiver, overall). Also has trouble snapping quick throws to bases.
