Is adept at throwing low strikes, which means he can keep the ball down with regularity (which is the key to his success). Aside from his sinking fastball, his slider is also a quality offering. Has a projectable (6-2) frame. His fastball command tends to elude him from time to time, which he simply cannot afford due to a lack of strikeout dominance (at all levels). He could also use more work on both his curveball and changeup.
