The Rays placed Johnson on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a sprained right shoulder.

Johnson was removed from Sunday's game against the Orioles with right shoulder discomfort, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Rays recalled Johnson from Triple-A Durham on Sunday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Johnson was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Monday.

Johnson's contract was selected by Cleveland on Wednesday.

Cleveland reassigned Johnson to their minor-league camp Tuesday.

Johnson signed a minor-league deal with Cleveland on Tuesday that includes an invitation to big-league camp.
