Giants manager Bob Melvin announced Friday that Webb will start Opening Day against the Reds on March 27, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Webb (13-10) got the win over the Diamondbacks on Tuesday after throwing six shutout innings while allowing four hits and a walk. He struck out three.

Webb didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Orioles, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out eight.

Webb (12-9) picked up the win over the Padres on Saturday, allowing three runs on 10 hits and two walks over six innings while striking out three.

Webb (11-9) allowed six runs on eight hits over six innings Sunday, striking out four and taking a loss against Miami.

Webb earned the win over the Athletics on Wednesday, allowing five hits and one walk in a complete-game shutout while striking out six.

Webb (7-8) took the loss against the Rockies on Saturday, allowing four runs on eight hits and four walks over six innings. He struck out four.

Webb (7-7) took the loss against the Blue Jays on Wednesday, allowing seven runs on eight hits and one walk over five innings while striking out four.

Webb came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Pirates, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.

Webb (4-4) earned the win over the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing three hits and three walks over six shutout innings while striking out five.
