What sets him apart is his pitch recognition at the dish, as well as his gargantuan power (from both sides of the plate). Will draw a fair share of walks, too. Is also a decent defender at first base. Does not have the greatest hands, so he might have trouble catching up to the best fastballs in Major League Baseball. Also, he needs to find better consistency in terms of hitting for average.
