Is really good at keeping hitters off-balanced due to deception and pitching smarts (he changes speeds well, varies his pace and uses multiple arm angles). Add a 6-5, 235-pound frame and you get a quality trick-pitcher. He must always deceive batters because his pure stuff is nothing special (his fastball is not overpowering and his other offerings are not above-average pitches). Therefore, he may be destined for the bullpen in the bigs.
