Arruebarrena was suspended for the remainder of the 2016 season due to repeated failures to comply with the terms in his contract, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.

Arruebarrena is batting just .170 with 19 strikeouts in 47 at-bats for Double-A Tulsa.

Arruebarrena finished an interesting season having batted .287/.337/.418 in 194 at-bats between three levels.

Dodgers placed SS Erisbel Arruebarrena on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 5, with a right hip flexor strain. He evidently must have suffered the injury during Friday's game. Carlos Triunfel has been recalled to replace Arruebarrena on the roster.
