Is bigger than most catchers (6-2, 230 pounds) and displays burgeoning home-run power. Also owns an excellent arm, so he can slow down the opposition's running game. Is a good athlete by catchers' standards. His receiving and game-calling skills need more work, but his defense might never be above-average (partly due to his sheer size behind the dish). Strikes out too much and must make more consistent contact.
