Owns an ideal frame for a catcher (5-11, 220 pounds) in that he's stocky with a strong lower base and can present a perfect target for pitchers. Defense is his calling card, but he can also hit a little at lower levels. Lacks consistency as a hitter, which prevents him from becoming a starting catcher at the big-league level. Also, he doesn't draw enough walks and can be prone to hitting into double-plays. Lacks a bit of power.
Long Range Potential: Sound defensive catcher.
