Can be used as both a starter and reliever. His sinking fastball and deceptive arm slot combine to get a lot of groundball outs with consistency in the minors. Is a resilient pitcher. Does not have great velocity on his fastball, so he lacks a true strikeout pitch for Major League baseball. Also lacks ideal size for a big-league pitcher. Allows too many base-runners.
