A former quarterback in college, he is an excellent athlete with a great arm. Throws a quality sinker that can induce plenty of groundball outs when he is on top of his game. His fastball and slider complement his sinker well. Has struggled mightily with injuries throughout his formative years, which greatly reduced his long-range potential. Is not overpowering and lacks a true strikeout weapon for MLB. Lacks stamina and could use more bulk.
