Displays great hands, excellent athleticism, sound defensive instincts and a quality throwing arm from behind the plate. Can shut down the opponents' running game. Has added value as a left-hand-hitting catcher. His offense is nowhere near his defense in terms of overall development, so he needs to prove he can at least hit for average (if not home-run power) in order to maximize his appearances in Major League Baseball.
