Is the total package defensively: receives the ball well, is a strong and accurate thrower with excellent feet. Calls a great game, too. Has natural leadership qualities. Generates pretty good bat speed when at the dish. Needs to prove he can hit with greater consistency in order to become a starting catcher in Major League Baseball (because his defense is first-rate). Also needs to prove he can develop a little more home-run power.
Long Range Potential: Outstanding defensive catcher with upside.
