| An ultra-skilled, instinctive center, he was a feisty, hard-working defender who could shut down opponents one on one. He was also one of the game's best passers out of the post. Improved his low-post moves on offense over time, and was an excellent free-throw shooter for a center. Made smart plays. Was massive yet also pretty mobile for a big man. Despite his defensive excellence, he was not quite elite as a rebounder nor as a shot blocker. Did not stretch the floor with a three-point shot enough and could get prone to fouls for stretches; he was very physical but did not have explosive quickness. Durability was a challenge for him, as is the case with most big men. | |
