Nova will help give the Pirates a little rotation security and depth, especially following the departure of Francisco Liriano. He might not be a long-term answer, but then again he is the type of reclamation project the Pirates have been known to resurrect in recent years.

The Yankees did an amazing job of getting rid of a number of potential free agents and players they no longer felt were part of their future, and Nova is just the latest. In return, the Yankees will receive two prospects to be named later...a nice haul for a struggling pitcher.

Wait until Nova shows significant improvement, and he solidifies his place in Pittsburgh's rotation, before taking a chance on him again in fantasy leagues.
