The Cubs are constantly searching for more talent, and this move is no different. Soto adds left-handed depth for the bullpen and he might make his way to Chicago at some point this season. For now, he will pitch in Triple-A ball.

The Indians had designated Soto for assignment recently, so they gladly accepted cash from the Cubs in exchange for his services. Cleveland will move forward with Ross Detwiler as their only left-handed reliever on the current team.

Soto does not have much fantasy value, even if he makes his way to the North side of Chicago later this season. Nothing to see here.
