The 29-year-old Vincent isn't very big (6-0, 180 pounds) but can be effective in the right role on a pitching staff. Look for the Mariners to utilize Vincent in middle relief this season, where he should be a positive fit.

The Padres decided that Vincent wasn't going to make their team so, since he is out of options, needed to move him for anything they could get in return. They'll get to choose a player from Seattle later on this season.

Don't expect Vincent to become a major fantasy performer in Seattle but he might be a decent source for holds in leagues that utilize that stat category.
