The Orioles know Hoes well, having drafted him in the third round in 2008. Still only 25, Hoes stands a very good chance to be used in a platoon role next season at either left or right field.

The Astros have several better, younger outfielders to choose from these days, so Hoes was no longer needed in the organization. Houston did well to at least get cash back for his services.

Hoes' fantasy value should rise now that he's back in the O's organization. He should see at-bats in 2016 as the right-handed side of an outfield platoon. Consider him a dark horse next season.
