Aquino is still very young (22) and left-handed, so he has plenty of upside for Major League Baseball. For now, he'll likely pitch as a starter in A-ball but could move up quickly if he performs to expectations.

The Jays decided to give up on Aquino, whom they had acquired from Colorado in February. Toronto has plenty of young starting pitching, so they felt comfortable in letting Aquino go at this time.

While he possesses pretty good long-range fantasy upside, Aquino won't reach the bigs for a while still. He's a player to stash away for future use.
