Germen is a quality bullpen arm with some untapped upside, but he has had trouble sticking in the bigs. After going from the Mets to the Yankees, the 27-year old was then designated for assignment by the Yanks. Texas should have room in their 'pen for someone with Germen's arm.

The Yankees felt comfortable enough with their new-look bullpen to ship Germen out at this time. He would have had a role in long relief anyway, which will probably fall to the likes of Rogers Warren Whitley and/or Capuano in 2015.

Germen remains a long shot to become a fantasy factor in 2015, regardless of what team's bullpen he'll be pitching in. This move should not affect the Rangers' back end, led by closer Feliz
