After adding fellow left-hander J.A. Happ, the Cardinals now turn to Lester to help out their starting rotation. St. Louis opted for quantity over quality at the deadline, instead of going after one of the top starters available. Did they do the right thing?

The Nationals get Thomas, an outfielder who seems to be too good for the minor leagues but perhaps not quite an everyday player in MLB. He should see some action down the stretch and attempt to form a platoon in the Washington outfield.

There is nothing to see here. Lester has not pitched well enough to receive consideration to be picked up in most fantasy leagues, while Thomas is also lacking in overall fantasy upside.
